The Scapegoats is an upcoming line from Chicago designer Jure Gavran. The line deals with "modern scapegoating in our society, but with a satirical perspective". Scapegoat Billy s made of vinyl and has a semi-transparent belly that is used to trap and display the Blamees. His "sole purpose is to inflict discriminatory blame on the innocent".
We're showing off photos of the clay sculpt. There will be two figures in the initial run (250 pieces each): Urban Criminal Billy and Immigrant Billy. Each figure consists of a Billy (8" tall) and Blamee (3" tall). Look for them to drop around the end of the year. We'll definitely be looking forward to this one.
