Never Forget To Get Drunk, the Art of Mitch O’Connell

The Zombo Gallery, in Pittsburgh's Lawrenceville section, has announced it's newest exhibition - Never Forget To Get Drunk, the art of Mitch O'Connell.

In addition to showing off his artwork, Mitch will be signing copies of his new book from Last Gasp Publishing,
"Mitch O'Connell Tattoos", a 264 page collection of the cream of the crop from his tattoo flash.  Also available will be skateboard decks, giclee prints, black light posters and whatever else Mitch decides to lug all the way from Chicago.

The opening party begins at 5:30 PM on Saturday, November 3rd 2007, and
will include lots of free liquor (for Mitch). Patrons can fight over
what he's unable to consume (good luck!). DJ Zombo is guaranteed to
keep the joint rockin' all evening long.  Never Forget To Get
Drunk will run from November 3rd through December 1st, 2007. Gallery
hours are Wednesday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday
from Noon to 6:00 PM, or by appointment.

Holiday Plush Show at Gallery Hanahou

New York's Gallery Hanahou is thrilled to announce their upcoming holiday gift show, Luv-able and Hug-able.  It will run from November 8 through December 21 and feature original plush toys by 29 of the hippest artists around the world.  The opening party will be held on November 8, from 6PM through 9PM.

Among the 29 very hug-able artists are well-known plush makers: Heidi Kenney, Hello, Brute, and Lizette Greco, along with 9 cutting-edge Japanese plush artists, whose work is hugely popular in Japan, but rarely seen outside of their home country. With the help of renowned plush collector PAPANDA (Kazuyoshi Kitami), they are bringing this group of talented artists to New York for the first time.

Prices will range from $12 to $1,200, and all pieces in the show will also be available for viewing and purchase via starting November 8.
