Background
Rolito and Toy2R have hooked up for another version of the artist’s Rolitoboy figure. Rolitoboy Love Nature Green Edition is the French artist’s eco-friendly take on his big-headed character. He’s back again with his see-through head and his two bird friends.
Packaging
The unique plastic packaging is both display-friendly as well as easy to open and reopen. There are four plastic push tabs that allow you to reseal the figure in the packaging.
The Figures
The Rolitoboy Love Nature (Green Edition) stands at approximately 5” in
height, while his two bird friends are about an inch or so. He has 6
points of articulation. The figure is limited to a run of 504 pieces.
The main attraction of Rolitoboy is that his head can be displayed in
a number of ways. One side of the head has a face that seems a little
happier than the other. Also, the top of the head is made of
transparent plastic and has graphics that exude his personality.
Our Opinion
Rolito’s work focuses mainly on basic shapes such as circles, squares
and triangles. As you can tell from the Rolitoboy figure, all of these
shapes work together to form a distinct character.
While the figure’s body is fairly basic, what draws your attention is
Rolitoboy’s head. The transparent top actually pops off, so you can
switch the inside scene around. However, sometimes it’s difficult to
get the clear dome back on.
Probably the most overlooked part of the figure isn’t actually a part
of the figure. Make sense? It’s his two little bird friends. They
are fairly simple, but are one of my favorite parts of the set.
